A Breeder of Pedigreed Maine Coon Cats
"Discovers" Wild Kitty Raw Natural Cat Food
Offers Health Benefits for
Ailing Cat and is Well-Accepted by Others

Wild Kitty Cat Food has aided Spotlight's healing process

We are breeders of pedigreed Maine Coon cats, which we regularly exhibit under the cattery name of Miaw (pronounced "Meow") in the Cat Fanciers Association (CFA) cat shows in Texas and surrounding states. I cannot begin to tell you how much of a success Wild Kitty Cat Food has been for one of our cats, named "Spotlight", a 15-month old male pedigreed Maine Coon show cat.

In December 2007, Spotlight began to develop severe lesions on his ears and the top of his head. These lesions eventually turned into something so disgusting words cannot describe it. (A picture of the condition is above at left). The condition is called EGC (eosinophilic granuloma complex) and was diagnosed by biopsy. [Several years ago we lost two Maine Coon breeding queens to the same condition.]

Spotlight's initial breakout subsided after two weeks and the fur started to grow back. However, at three weeks, new lesions began appearing on his head and neck. Long story short version, this poor cat had been on low dose prednisolone on and off since December in an effort to control this condition, with no real improvement.

As breeders, we though we were being very health-conscious when it comes to what these cats eat. For years we have been feeding another brand of food claming to be "Holistic" and healthy. Guess it wasn't. In mid-April, we decided to make a complete dietary switch for Spotlight. After much Internet research on feeding and preparation of raw diets for cats, I found your product back in late April.

Our local pet food wholesaler just happened to carry your frozen food, so we picked up a case. All I can say is the results were amazing! The pictures above, right, show Spotlight in May, after 3 weeks on Wild Kitty Cat Food raw cat food diet.

Even more impressive was the acceptance of Wild Kitty Cat Food Raw Diet by several of our older "kibble hounds". The few who were seriously addicted to another brand of "holistic" dry food now go nuts over the plates of Wild Kitty Cat Food. Our dry food consumption has dropped by probably 80%.

The majority of the cats who are eating Wild Kitty Cat Food no longer "graze" on kibble between meals. The raw certainly seems to satisfy their needs better than any commercial cat food we've tried. Moreover, we're already seeing the benefits, greater energy levels, coats are looking awesome, and litter box odor is significantly reduced.

Your frozen products worked great, and the transition from them to making our own with the mix was seamless. Given the number of cats we have to feed, making our own was the only way to go. We are currently feeding a small "herd" of Maine Coon cats who consume about 4 lbs. of meat a day!

We've been recommending your products to anyone who will listen. People have so many false notions about feeding raw. If I have another person (or vet) start preaching about "you're going to kill them with e-coli" I think I'm going to scream! We had more digestive issues with commercial canned foods. Since the switch to raw, we've had absolutely NO digestive or bowel issues. Andrew and Lisa, TX
